Hey everyone,

I just received my Nx5 and I will be shooting a live show at a small venue this Friday. Can anyone suggest to me some settings to use in what will probably be a very low light situation?

I've been reading a lot on this forum, but being as I'm brand new with a camera of this size, I could use some ideas. Thanks!

**EDIT**

I guess I should add that I plan on having two cameras filming, editing them together and burning down to dvd. Not sure that matters much, but I thought I'd throw it in.

Hey Ryan

I shoot all kinds of live events and business video in the Portland/Vancouver area, using 4 AX2000's. They (both the NX5 and AX2000) take some tweeking to get a good picture in my opinion. Make sure you trun "flicker reduce" off. It really softens the picture. Set up a picture profile that you like, I increase the detail and bump the color a little. I also really like to use the Zebra's and Peaking filters to help control focus and exposure. I also usually use manual Iris and set the AGC to no more than +9, if its super dark you will have to go higher, but you will start to see grain in the picture above 9............

Thanks for the reply Ben. I have no idea where or how to manipulate those settings yet, but that's what the manual is for. I'll be messing around with it for the next few days and try to get it dialed in. Thanks again!
