Friends,

May I ask, is there a simple way to output Apple ProRes HQ 1080p 25fps to 24fps? Please forgive me if this topic has been discussed already elsewhere. If you know about an article covering this, please include a link in this thread. Many thanks.

Pavel

Compressor can do this. I believe it is in the frame control tab. You would pick 24 as the frame rate and check a box that changes the playback rate but keeps all the frames without blending frames. The sound will change and you might need to adjust the pitch.

Thank you William. I looked at it, and it seems that a preset is there only for conversion 24fps to 25fps.

I found this article:

https://truelove.zendesk.com/entries/126440-conforming-60fps-footage-to-25-24fps-using-apple-compressor

and am following it. Will see how it will look like at the end of the day and keep you posted.

Looking further into the matter, I found that Cinema Tools do much better job in conforming the footage. Oh well, it is all part of the constant practice and detachment from the results ...
