Hi there,
I know there are threads about what's the best backpack, but I'm down to a choice of 2, and I'm hoping backpack (Kata backpack) users can help advise.
Given the dimensions of my EX1—with ext. mic (Sanken, a nice short one) attached, and an RF receiver mounted on top as well— which are:
7" wide
9" tall (with RF rec. on top)
17" long (end-to-end)
... it seems to me that both the Kata Pro-V 410 and the Pro-V 610 will work.
Both have essentially the same interior width (11.8 inches) and height (9.06 inches).
The main difference is in length. The smaller 410 is 18.9 inches long, and the bigger 610 is 23.6 inches long.
Again, it seems to me that my EX1 will fit into either one, intact. I know there won't be as much room for my accessories with the smaller 410, but the fact that its exterior dimensions seem to me to allow me to use it as carry-on is a real plus.
I'd love some advice from EX! users who've used one or the other, or both backpacks.
Thanks very much...
Malcolm
