Hi,

Some of the best blu-ray rips I´ve seen so far are MKV. From what I´ve seen so far it is a great compromise between quality, file size and compatibility. I´d like to start exporting my movies directly from the adobe suite (mainly Premiere and After FX) using an MKV encoder. How can I dod that? Is there a free MKV encoder plugin I can get?

As far as i understand...

Matroska is a container, that houses many compression formats..
It's an open source project...

You'd probably have to find freeware to mux your video and audio streams to the Matroska container..
I suppose AME can encode your elementary streams.
You'd have to find some freeware out there to mux them together into a Matroska container..

AME probably doesn't use MKV as a format, because there's no standard delivery. It's available to players that accept Matroska containers only.

I´m trying to use debugmode frameserver with handbrake to export the files but I´m having some issues.

I´ve managed to get the debugmode frameserver working but when I go to handbrake, source and select the avi file that the debugmode displays I get:

"No Title(s) found.
Your source may be copy protected, badly mastered or in a format which HandBrake does not support.
Please refer to the Documentation and FAQ (see Help Menu)"

The file on the timeline is an MTS Sony NEX file. I´ve tried using RGB and YUY2.

Sorry Rafael...

You've got me lost..
Your original question was about using Matroska because of BluRay rips.
Now you're trying to edit MTS Sony NEX clips on the PPro timeline?

PPro won't do it natively?

Premiere DOES edit these files natively. What I´m trying to do is export the final edit using a debumode frameserver, so this way I can use another program to encode without having to export a lossless and THEN enconde it with another program.

I was able to get debumode frameserver but handbrake gives me the msg I´ve posted bellow. I´ve tried ripbot264 but it is very limited and it won´t export audio.
