Apparently a problem with the rubber grips.

Looks like I dodged the bullet on the serial. At least they're acknowledging the issue & offering to fix it. So many companies these days will avoid accountability or warrantee repairs at all costs.

Does it really matter if the colour changes to white? It will be a collectors item then. I have just purchased one from London UK with the affected serial number but I am just wondering if it is really necessary to send it in just for this. In other respects this camera is great.

I had a great set of binoculars that he rubber grips went bad on. They got so sticky that you just could not use them. Good thing is the company replaced them free of charge.

my son bought the 650D and let me tell you it's such a beautiful camera. Pictures are just about the same as my 60D
