A simple video with my kids playing at the Granparents' house. This was just practicing with a new Sony NEX-7. Camera is equipped with a classic manual Konica 40mm f1.8 and a Hoya UV filter. (Lens was purchased off eBay for $50.) Stabilization courtesy of an old Canon monopod I had kicking around. Camera was set to Neutral color profile, and I did some light grading in Final Cut Pro X.

Lovely footage. I have the same lens on my FS-100 and it's a great solo-interview lens for close quarters. Nice to see how great it flares in the sun. Were you shooting wide open?

Thanks! I might have been at f1.8 on the berries. The rest was between f2.8 and f8. I was really surprised to see what nice flaring it produced as well.
