Time is flying! I still haven't got round to filming anything for the DVC challenge (but I mean to do something this week), and already the UWOL challenge is starting!

Linking to this sign-up thread on UWOL Facebook I realized we only have TEN people aboard! If you spend any time on FB at all, like our page. Then when stuff like this sign-up is announced you can spread the word...and get your friends to spread the word. It's a great way to get new DV Info members and fresh faces in the challenge. Chris Hurd said it years ago and it should never be forgotten: Content Is King! Sure, we try for excellence in technical achievement; that's part of the learning process. But a great story with compelling imagery wins regardless of how the video places in the contest. UWOL Challenge is all about getting into nature and enjoying the creative process while learning more about the craft. And then we have the fun of chatting about/critiquing our work with new and old friends right here! It doesn't get much better than that!

There used to be a deadline for sign up.
We are just finishing rebuilding our house (been on it for a year 4 to 8 hours a day) and while I am really late I was wondering about participating. Definitely need a change of obsessive mind set.

Welcome back, Vegard! So glad you could join in this round! There won't be any email notifications going out--Trond has to remind me of enough as it is. :) I would suggest that everyone write on calendars or somewhere that UWOL challenges run every March, June, September and in the DVC/UWOL Charity Challenge every December/January. I would follow my own advice if I could get in the habit of looking at calendars.

Down to the nitty & gritty. I have all my footage on the time line, wrote a script this morning, just need to arrange the audio and background music, render and upload. Easy right?.....
