This was a question I was concerned about a while back with the HD100, but turned out to be a non-issue with how they laid 24P inside 60P (with repeat flags).

Is 24P inside 1080i going to use repeat flags also? I hope so...we don't want to be recompressing HDV just to extract our original 24 frames!

I noticed on the schedule that there is an Apple presentation scheduled for tomorrow I think. Can anybody visiting give us the scoop on that? Chris?

Nate,

Do you have a link to the site with the schedule?

Thanks,

Yes the flags are there in HDV. I asked about that.

The Canon Expo show is open to the public on Friday, anybody in NYC can walk in, touch and try the camera. Heath, is Jon Fordham in town this week? Can you shoot him an email please?

Chris:

Would they let someone in with an HD100 for a little side by side 24p? Not that I know anyone in NYC with a HD100...

Don't know; the HD100 might have to be checked in as "media." I would love to see such a comparison but trade shows are not the best place for that. I'm sure there will be plenty of comparisons coming up in the near future.
