In preference pane there should be an option for overlap or available media. I cant get it to show up? Is there another setting that would cause it to not be there. For Final cut pro x

Is there another setting that would cause it to not be there. For Final cut pro x John Nantz October 2nd, 2012, 03:53 PM Guess I don't quite understand the first sentence. Are you wanting to set a preference setting so that it would automatically provide the 1-second overlap? If so, I'm not aware of any but would like to know if there is one. Currently I just select the clip in the upper left window, grab the yellow handle, note the seconds and frames, then move it to provide at least the 1-second minimum. It's slow and a bit of a pain so an automatic preference setting, if there is one, would sure be nice. Craig Seeman October 3rd, 2012, 12:26 AM That preference is no longer there. I think there is an option on a clip by clip bases though. Charlie Branham October 3rd, 2012, 08:51 AM Guys, I probably wasn't clear in what I was asking. If you go to the preferences panel on the top left corner where you have options for editing , playback & I think it is the capture mode. Under the editing tab at the bottom under the transition duration is a window that has overlap or available media options. That option doesn't show up for mine anymore. I have created a new project, re-started final cut pro & can't seem to bring it up. Anybody know about this. Thanks, Charlie Craig Seeman October 3rd, 2012, 08:57 AM I understand what you're saying and as I said, that doesn't exist in preferences anymore. The Pref setting was dropped. It's now available on a CLIP BY CLIP basis only. |
