View Full Version : Has the hurricane affect NY Photo stores? Lee Mullen October 31st, 2012, 11:41 PM Like B&H, Adorama etc Any news if they are currently open/operating? Chris Hurd November 1st, 2012, 06:42 AM We have four dealers who are site sponsors in the region affected by hurricane Sandy... they are Abel, B&H, VideoGuys and ZGC. Abel's site is up but their physical location in downtown Manhattan is currently closed due to a lack of electrical power: AbelCine - Film, HD, Cameras, Optics, Digital Media (http://www.abelcine.com/store/home.php) ZGC's site is down at the moment but will be back online soon: http://zgc.com/ B&H and VideoGuys are open and up and running. James Kuhn November 1st, 2012, 10:47 AM I can confirm B&H is up and running. I just cancelled a B/O and replaced it with an I/S item. I was notified by email the item is en-route via "Big Brown". Pretty darn good service. Best regards, J. Simon Wood November 2nd, 2012, 01:42 PM Yeah, I just had some lenses ordered from B&H; they only came 1 day late (for 2 day UPS Ground delivery) which is not bad considering! Keith Dobie November 2nd, 2012, 01:53 PM I have an order in with B&H. It was processed yesterday. Made it through initial shipping stages (UPS Ground) but last update was an "Adverse Weather May Cause Delay" notice from UPS around midnight last night. It's in Secaucus, NJ. I'm in no hurry. Hope any DVInfo members in that area are doing OK and gear & computers stayed dry. Updated Nov 3: Looks like they are getting back to normal. My UPS package got scanned again at the Secaucus facility at 5:57 this morning. On its way & they say it will be delivered on time. |
