I just had an email from Warehouse Express (aka Wex) who evidently now have stock of the 6D. Their store is only about 10 miles away so I may pop in & have a look. According to their webpage they have stock for delivery tomorrow (their website is accurate as I know that the staff in the store use the same pages to check that they have stock).

Looks like B&H have them too (body only, the package with the lens will be available in December). Would love to see a review of this (especially with regards to moire and rolling shutter issues).

Moire / aliasing was an issue it seems; the video is not as good as the 5Dmk3. This was done with a preproduction 6D, so maybe there might have been an improvement since then?

Manuals are now up on Canon websites:

EOS 6D (http://www.canon.co.uk/Support/Consumer_Products/products/cameras/Digital_SLR/EOS_6DWG.aspx?type=download&page=1)

I had a look at the wi-fi manual; you can definitely remote view and control the camera from a smartphone (or iPad). Very interesting as an alternative to using an external monitor for framing etc.

Very interesting as an alternative to using an external monitor for framing etc. It's the same functionality as using the mega-expensive WFT widget except it is conveniently built into the camera.

Little disappointed to be honest.

I'll stick to the 5D Mark II, for both stills and video.
