mac mini 2.5 core I5 8 gigs ram
Will this machine handle final cut pro x, very little effects or filters are involved.

It says Intel HD 3000 or later. It looks like the Mac Mini now has the Intel 4000. So it seems like it 'should' work.

If you plan any any heavy editing you can use the built in proxy work flow to make things ultra easy. I've even edited a 4 camera multicam shoot from a slow USB2 on a macbook pro drive using proxy!
It's not going to be the snappiest machine to use, but will it run? I think so. How long will you be happy with it? Who knows?
