Now that the D3100, D3200, D5100, D5200, D7000, D600, D800 and D800E and all shoot HD video, I'd like to request a Nikon-centric discussion area. All in favor say aye!

Chris: I'll chime in and say that the Nikon D800 is a magnitude leap forward from Nikon from their previous offerings and FOR ME works much better than Canon's dSLRs in the limited role in which I use dSLRs in my practice. +1 for a Nikon forum now.

I would also love a D800/D800E D600/D4 area! OR a dedicated Nikon section!

I have a D5100 and one thing I will say about it is that with a fast prime lens, it is just spectacular in low light. Yes, a dedicated Nikon forum would be something that I would like.

I'm game for it.

I've been shooting video, limited, with my Nikon D90 for a while now.

Works decent, but not great.

Was very tempted by the BH and others D600 deals a few weeks back, but am holding out for a D400/7002/9000 or whatever new high end DX Nikon is coming out with.

Hope to upgrade to something in Q1 2013, to compliment my Sony NX5U for gigs.

Just sold my Canon gear and my Sony Ex1 to buy Nikon Dslr setups. Really think Nikon is listening to the video community with there latest offerings. Would be great to have a discussion area to share tips and tricks.

Thanks!

Yes, happy New Year and thanks Chris!

Please keep up the discussion. I'm still learning my D600 and have two projects slated for late January/February so I'm soaking up all the info I can!

Other camera is a Sony Z5U with CF recording unit - but I'm looking to transition to the D600 as my primary camera for film style work.
