So you think you've got battery trouble.
It wasn't so long ago that lithium camera batteries were a worry and the subject of a ban as aircraft passenger carryon, but it died down.

The batteries were made by Yuasa. However, I'm wondering if Yuasa subcontracted another company from China to supply their parts? That would explain everything.

But ISTR a few news stories about cell phones catching fire through battery issues.
