In 2010 we were fortunate enough to attend Expo in Shanghai. It was mind boggling, cost an estimated 45 billion
and we spent 4 long days just getting around it ..

Eg: https://www.google.com/search?q=united+arab+emirates+pavilion+expo+2010&hl=en&tbo=u&tbm=isch&source=univ&sa=X&ei=Vfb9UN_lEua0iQfL8oGABw&ved=0CEcQsAQ&biw=1366&bih=673

We were proud to see the Australian pavilion, seen in those pix, made out of iron and steel designed to be 'outback' and rust during the run of the show.
And in the Shanghai smog by hokey, it did! I stood back and smiled, that's us Aussies :)

But one interest was the Siemans pavilion which featured a demo of their prototype glasses free 3D TV set.

There was enormous visitor interest and a very long queue to get in to see it. Their demo program was obviously clever, receiving good comments.
It was the only one on display, and then nothing seems to have happened in this area.

But the various manufacturers have been beavering behind the scenes and 2 years later at this years CES some well many,
are demonstrating their progress in this area.

Imo despite the naysayers it's coming. No manufacturer wants to be last and maybe miss the hoped for market rush .. and for the consumer,
it'll be a keep up with the Jones thing .. the programs well?

Maybe we all should visit the stereo forum here more often :)

Cheers.
