Hello - Can someone tell me the steps to perform Exposure Lock on MK II in video mode please?

Thank you,

Check page 171 of the manual... I don't imagine this is something that will help much in video mode though... I would avoid anything that contains the word "Auto" in it

I want to be able to: Use the AE lock and want same setting when zoom out of frame.
Does that make sense?

You do shoot in Manual mode right?
I really wouldn't depend on something like AE Lock for setting your exposure. Your best bet is to use the histogram and use that reading to set the exposure manually. Auto is just asking for headaches. I know you want the "Lock" feature from that, but I believe you have to hold down the "*" button in order for that to happen which isn't very practical for video mode.

Histogram is your best bet if the camera is the only method you have of checking exposure, and better yet, use a waveform monitor or a monitor that has a false color feature. Exposure is so important on these cameras since the image is so compressed... you really don't have any latitude what so ever for over-exposure mistakes. Any details that are recorded at over 100 IRE are lost.

Embrace your histogram my friend!
