A few weeks back I posted that a vicar wouldn't allow wedding to be filmed unless the videographer (me) had a CRB check. Well after a meeting with him a few weeks back he decided I was a 'good guy' (pompous pr**) and said he would allow me.

That wedding was yesterday. When I went to the rehearsal on Friday (as had been agreed as part of his permission) he was not there, he was signed off work by his doctor on Tuesday with stress. In his place was one of the most delightful vicars I've had the pleasure to work with, who even went out of his way to find me afterwards to say what a pleasure it was to work with me. The sun shone all day in a clear blue sky and turned into the warmest day of the year so far. So far from my apprehension of a difficult day under a freezing leaden sky it turned into one of the best weddings I've had, if only they could all be like that.

As I said the Lord works in mysterious ways.
