Wow, upsetting to see that happening here in Australia.

I live on the Gold Coast and my life is regularly interrupted with road closures and parking restrictions by events happening on public land such as the Gold Coast 600 (formerly Indy), Schoolies Week, Gold Coast Marathon, Gold Coast Triathlon, various music festivals, etc. I wonder if I have reason to launch a lawsuit against the council? Oh wait, I'm not a millionaire so my opinion doesn't count!

I just hope our local mayor doesn't read this article - he'll use it as another weapon to show that millionaires like himself are doing it tough, and he'll attempt to grab all the public land for private sale (which he is already trying to do with one of the popular wedding/photo locations here).
