This just started after a FCP X crash during a routine jpg import from the desktop.

Looks like you have a duplicate of the storage location ^Gary¨
Try renaming one.
FCPX files use a unique database identifier, so if you copy one, you can get this error - its best to copy or move from within FCPX.

A simple reboot fixed the problem but I am bookmarking your answer. Thank you
