Sony USA announced a Firmware v2.0 yesterday. Is there any difference from the one that has been available through their Asian site for several months? Is there any advantage to upgrading the firmware again using this version if i already have v2.0 installed?

I doubt there will be any real difference.

If you are interested in the new output formats (RAW and S-LOG2) those features will require a hardware upgrade.

Thank you. This is what I thought/hoped for. Glad to see your response (and the lack of any disagreeing). My FS700 is working fine with v2.0 taken from the Sony Asia site.
