Hi everyone, I'm a hobbyist who's been dabbling in amateur movie making since the days of Cine8. It's mainly wildlife and family stuff and purely for my own enjoyment. Still very much an amateur with lots to learn. I've ordered a Canon XA20 which I hope to get in the next few weeks.

Since you are interested in wildlife filming, I hope you will take a look at the "UWOL Challenge" subforum here, and hopefully you will join in the next challenge/contest in September.
It is a great way to learn, and get feedback to your own filming.

Thanks for the welcome. I had a look at the "UWOL Challenge". Some very nice work there. Perhaps I will have a go sometime. It would be a good way to force me to tighten up the quality of my stuff. Home movies and work for friends tends to lead to untidyness.
