Hello,
I have been following the Sony F5/55 forum and have noticed several posts from owners claiming that their F5 and 55s have been "freezing," to the extent that power must be removed, and occasionally several times, in order to initiate a reboot. Others have claimed to have lost rushes as a result of same. Have any owner/users on this site been plagued by this malfunction?

Looks like this NEW Firmware update addresses these problems...

NEW Firmware update v1.21 for F5 and F55

"All,

We are releasing an unscheduled firmware update, v1.21. This update is to address important stability and other improvements. This update is for the F5, and F55 cameras, it is not for the AXS-R5 RAW recorder, of which v1.21 is already released.

We understand from this forum users are experiencing performance, stability issues with their cameras. In the vast majority of cases this is due to not performing the ALL RESET immediately following the firmware update. It is critical to perform this function or instability will occur. We are addressing the other instances where performance, stability is affected after ALL RESET has been performed..."
