good morning,

I have not been around much this last while and I miss it!! While I have had time to do so I just could not seem to get revved up to get involved.

I thought I might give a short update from here at the guthormsen's. Our adult son ryan's brain surgery was a success, none of the malignant tumor has returned. the leg surgery in May was a success too. However first of July he had a grand mall seisure of major proportions. this trashed his leg surgery and dislocated his shoulder so babdly it will require surgery too. the culture on the second tumor has proven to be benign, a blessing to be sure. Ryan has not walked in almost a year!! Needless to say he still requires a huge amount of care and attention and no 31 year old young man should require his parents to care for him! The distress and anxiety have almost been incapacitating at times; something I did not understand in other people in the past!!! We are hoping for good news from the doctor on last thursdays MRI!!
Just to keep the dark cloud hovering, two weeks ago after taking ryan to the neurologists Sheila, my wife, was bringing Rayn home and were broad sided at high speed by a hit and run driver. Neither were hurt, another blessing to be sure. But my truck was DOA. Of course it was the only vehicle we could transport Ryan in because he can't set in a regular chair!! That ment rental car time!! more money out of course.
through all this things look to be looking up, the leg and shoulder surgery is all small stuff compared to the brain cancer issue. So we are hoping to see the last of the dark cloud!!!

If you are having a hard time just remember things always look bleak before the dawn. We are waiting for dawn, eh!

Dale,
Not sure what to write really. Thinking of you & yours. Hope the results for the MRI are all good, & that your son recovers fully.
Bring on the dawn!!

That is a horrible run of events you've all endured, Dale. I'm so sorry. But I'm glad for the bright spots that keep things hopeful. Hoping you find shooting for the challenge refreshing.
