UWOLers, your entries never fail to inspire and educate! Thank you so much, Marj, Paul, Trond, Bryce, Gordon, Geir Inge, and Steve, for your commitment to giving a part of your world to the rest of us in these submissions. I wish you could all have the top spot in the voting, because you all deserve it! As Gordon said in his email, "The judging is more of a challenge than doing a video." Ha ha! I couldn't agree more.

Because votes were close, I'm going to list the runner up, as well as the winner. So...

Runner up in UWOL 27's "Timing" round:

Paul Wood, for "End of An Era"

And the WINNER of UWOL 27:

Bryce Comer, for "The Rut"

Congratulations, Bryce!! You returned to the UWOL Challenge in grand style, roping us into your quest with captivating whispers and providing a majestic and beautiful payoff. We are all so happy to crown you UWOL 27 champion!!

More congratulations to you, Paul, on your typically wonderful entry, and to everyone who submitted. You all do this for the love of Nature and the joy of sharing...it doesn't get any better than that.

As always, thank you so much, Chris Hurd, for providing UWOL with a home here and also in the Vimeo Pro account, which we know is not free, by any means. Your "soft spot" for the Under Water Over Land Challenge, started by the amazing Meryem Ersoz, is much-appreciated!!

We'll see everyone in the DVC/UWOL Charity Challenge...right around the corner!!

I forgot to give a special "Thank you" to Mike Sims for always coming along when the challenge is over to note the winning entry on Vimeo and add the cool trophy he made. Thank you soooo much, Mike!!

Wow I can't believe it!! Thank you so much for all the feedback on my film & of course your votes!
I have learnt so much from this little community over the years, & with so many talented people here, i'm sure I won't ever stop learning as long as I keep coming back! Thanks to Lorinda for organising these challenges, & of course to Chris Hurd for making all this possible. Thanks to all the others who submitted films, I really enjoyed watching them very much.
Looking forward to next round now, if I can only stay out of the shark tank again!
Regards,
Bryce Comer

Congratulations Bryce and Paul! Well done to all those finishing this round. All the UC27 videos are very good. As always, many thanks to Chris and Lorinda. The trophies are finished but not yet showing up in Vimeo due to Flickr having technical difficulties. I’ll have it sorted as soon as possible. Meanwhile, e-mail me guys if you want a personal copy of the trophies. (This also goes for anyone that has ever won or placed in any of the UWOL Challenges.)

Congratulations, Bryce!

Very well done! I think you deserved first place for the excellent film.

Many thanks to all of you for your votes - and of course to Lorinda and Chris for organising and hosting.
I think all the entries were of a high standard this round, so well done to all!

With luck, I should be back in Spain in time for the next round, so maybe something different then!

Congratulations, Bryce and Paul.

Bryce, I hope all those long hours continue to pay off as you develop your program on the Caribou. Paul, your film will be one of the UWOL classics. Thanks to both of you.

Thanks Steve,
Yes there are certainly many more hours needed for me to put this thing together. This challenge has been inspiring for me to get moving with it & try to finish it by this time next year.
Thanks Mike for the trophies. They look great as usual.
Paul congratulations on a fantastic film, I had to show my wife when I first watched it. It was just so good!
Thanks to everyone else & I look forward to the next challenge.
Regards,
Bryce

My mistake, Lorinda for not using my eyes well.
I guess I'm a lousy reader with a messy head :/
Your message is clear enough, Lorinda and I apologize so much.

Congrats to you Bryce for the winning film and to Paul for running up.

Yes, Lorinda, I made that mistake too. I think I was still waking up in Oz when I read the original post. So...

Congratulations to Bryce for a well produced video that was a worthy winner.

Well done Paul, I really enjoyed your film and its poignant story.
