When I start Audition, it immediately crashes, even before the splash screen is displayed. If I watch the task manager, I can see Audition starting, and then it just disappears from the list of processes. There are no error messages displayed, other than an entry in the Event Viewer:

Faulting application name: Adobe Audition CS6.exe, version: 5.0.0.708
Faulting module name: MSVCR100.dll, version: 10.0.40219.325
Exception code: 0x40000015
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Audition CS6\Adobe Audition CS6.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\MSVCR100.dll

It seems that MSVCR100.DLL could be the problem. I tried temporarily copying another version of that DLL from one of the other Production Premium applications into the C:\Windows\System32 directory to see if that would help, but it didn't. A Google search for MSVCR199.DLL shows it's part of the C++ Redistributable Package 2010. I tried downloading the package from the Microsoft site, but it says I have a newer version already installed, and will not install over it. As it is, I cannot use Audition CS6 at all.

Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone have ideas how to fix this?
