Just as the title says, what are your opinions on Red Giant's Denoiser? I have a clip or two that I shot over the weekend and they are extremely noisy and grainy. From your experience, how well does it work on footage? I don't want to drop the $100 if it won't do the job!

Thanks for reading!

Have used both the Red Giant and Neat Video de-noisers and much prefer the results ftom Neat Video as it seems to be able to retain fine detail better. Both are very slow to render, obviously a lot of processing going on.

Neat Video is better and faster

I've used Neat Video with good success but was hesitant to buy a third license for Premiere (already own AE and Vegas versions) so I tried Red Giant's version. I liked it and the results but the interface is unbearably slow. Every change to the settings can take multiple seconds to re-render and it makes experimenting nearly impossible. Neat Video on the other hand opens in it's own interface so it works much faster. I called Red Giant and they informed me that there is no work around at this time.

P.S. Neat video does offer discounts on additional licenses if you e-mail them.

Neat Video & Twixtor ... hands down, my favourite plug ins. But ridiculously painfully slow render times that almost put you off using them in the first place!
