Redesigned from the ground up, The new RØDE NT1 studio condenser microphone contains a new HF6 capsule with an internal shockmount, new electronics & a new finish.
All of these elements combined provide a high-quality sound for anyone doing studio recordings to voice-over work.
The NT1 is now even better then ever, with a self noise of 4.5dBA SPL, a new heavy-duty matte black finish and the RØDE 10 year extended warranty*
NT1 microphone from RDE (http://www.rodemic.com/nt1) (sic: wonder what what happened to the "Ø"?)
This looks interesting: the Røde 1A was already a cracking mic for the price. Available as two packages:
"The NT1 is available in two configurations - either as a complete kit with the SMR shock mount (NT1-KIT), or by itself with the RM2 stand mount (NT1-SINGLE)." No sign of a matched pair yet though.
Comparing the specs, it looks like it as a higher output that the NT-1A and an incredibly smooth frequency response.
I see the shock mount design has been changed - I wonder if they are continuing to work with Rycote?
EDIT: Yes they are, I see the Rycote badge on the photo. An internal lyre shockmount as well as the new external shockmount. Great stuff.
UK list price quoted as £239.
