Hi,
Over the Christmas break whilst operating my NXCAM, I was getting intermittent operation with the external memory unit, the 128 GB Flash Memory Unit HXR-FMU128. Finally the NXCAM threw up its hands and tossed a C:13:04 error code onto the display. When this code is up, the mem unit cannot be formatted or read from/written to in the usual manner.
So, time to investigate! I removed the flash mem unit from the NXCAM and removed its outer cover (#000 Phillips head works fine). Discovered that the flash memory is actually just a SSD card, Toshiba THNS128GG4BNAA, with SATA power and data connectors, nestled into an internal assembly. Removed the 4 screws that hold it down and reseated the SATA connections, reversed the dis-assembly steps, tried it out, and the unit was A-OK! Error code no more!
If your ext mem unit is giving you fits, maybe this will work for you, too.
Regards,
Brad
