Here is a new media concept I call "aerial timelapse".

Unlike "regular" timelapse videos, this was taken from an aerial platform. The technique is still being refined and we are planning to shoot more videos in the next few months.

Interesting there is no yaw or roll, just vertical movement. Pretty cool.

The same technique is used as when shooting time-lapse from the ground. The trick is to stabilize the camera, for which we use 3-axis stabilizer. See here

The camera was Sony NEX-7. S800 hexacopter, flight time 10min.

Looks really cool. That mist and lights make it really lovely.
Although the shoottime is a bit short for that majestic 'time-lapse feeling'. (But I know: drones can't stay in the air for an hour.)

Nice concept :-)

The only other aerial timelapses I've ever seen were shot from the ISS ;-)
