I have an edit machine that has a SSD as the C drive. I need to get a larger SSD because mine is full. I was thinking about cloning it to a larger drive. Here is the question will changing the drive make Adobe soft ware stop working? Should I remove it then reload it after the move or will just shutting it off temporarily work.

Instead of getting a new SSD, have you considered CLEANING UP ?
There is no logical reason to have more than 30 - 35 GB on your boot disk, plus the page-file.

I have cloned drives in the past without problem. Windows activation can object if you have made other hardware changes too, but Adobe does not mind.
Cloning (or cleaning) saves an Adobe activation life - you used to have twenty I recall in the good old days of perpetual licences.
