Just wondering if anyone shares the same experience we have had with these. When not using SDI it seems that the Mini HDMI connector is loose and the slightest pressure on the cable causes us to lose picture lock. Perhaps it's our HDMI to Mini Adapter. Anyone recommend any proven solutions with quality HDMI cables?

Dear Pat,

We don't recommend adapters for that reason.

The mini-HDMI cables are more secure.

I used to have a Sony FS100 and used the HDMI output for monitoring with a SmallHD DP6. Just looking at the HDMI connector would make the signal drop. I tried different cables, strain reliefs, etc.

I would never rely on recording to an external device with HDMI - especially a paying job!
