Is it possible to daily rent the Sony FS700RAW option. I know other options are, but I find a N/A in the pricelist.
Thanks

I don't believe so. I believe the Sony FS700 RAW option is buy only.

Dear Ron,

The FS700 option is not available for rent, sorry.

Rental of the other available options will start soon.

We expect to make an announcement about this today.

In the sony option: what are the advantages with use of a F3 camera, compared to the standard options that come with the base version of 7Q?

Dear Ron,

If you are using a camera that outputs HD video, as opposed to a Raw output,
then you do not need one of our Raw extra cost options,
such as Sony FS700 Raw, Canon C500 Raw or ARRI ALEXA ARRIRAW Option.

Thus, the base model of the Odyssey7Q works fine with the Sony F3, as this camera only outputs video.

The Sony F5 and F55 (in non-Raw modes) all work fine with the Odyssey7Q and Odyssey7.

Of course there are many more cameras that output HD and work fine with our recorders.

Dear Ron,

I hope I answered your question.

Our FS700 Raw option is not needed, nor can it be used when one is recording from the Sony F3.

I am not certain if I have really answered your question or not.

The Sony F3 produces a very nice image, and the Odyssey7Q complements it very nicely.

With this combination you can record full uncompressed, if you wish, up to 1080p60, and Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) up to 1080p30 right now.

Later you will be able to record in Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) up to 1080p60 (via a future firmware release).

Respectfully,
