Love my GH3 shooting mostly .MOV's. Did a shoot today with the AVCHD Record Mode selecting 1920x1080, 60i 30p 24Mbps so far so good.

When I downloaded the shots from my Extreme Pro (95MB/s) which I use all the time the AVCHD's are 702x480 in size...now that can't be right. What am I doing wrong?

What are you viewing them in?

I'm looking at the clip on the card and it says 720x480 but in Vegas it says 1920x1080x12, AVC

So is this just the way AVCHD compression is interpreted?

I'm looking at the clip on the card and it says 720x480 but in Vegas it says 1920x1080x12, AVC

Again, I have no idea what you're using to look at the clip 'on-the-card' so it's hard to know where the problem lay.

As long as it's correctly identified as 1920x1080 in your NLE then I would ignore anything else you may be using.

Thanks! They seem to be fine in Vegas as I said.

I'm looking at the files on the 64 gig SDHC card with the standard Windows File Explorer. As I select the a clip on the card I can see displayed the details of the file before I drag them to my HD. That's where I'm seeing that Windows sees this file as a 720x480 file. It sees MOV's and MP4's correctly as 1920 x 1080...it's just the AVCHD's that seem strange for some reason

Just though that was odd.

But thanks for your patience.
