Has anyone ever attempted using Eyefi with the EA?

Also, I tried using a 64GB SD Class 10 with the EA and it would not recognize it. Has anyone had any success with any size card larger than 32GB?

I use Transcend 64GB in mine without any problem - have you formatted it in the camera?

No, I did not format in the camera because it never noticed that it was there. I had ScanDisk 64GB. Right before a wedding I forgot my cards at home so I ran to the store to grab some and thank god I bought 32GB as well.

I have had many issues with Sandisk cards ..but they seem to work really well in my Nikons! Like Peter I stick with transcend cards in the EA-50's

I have had many issues with Sandisk cards

My experience with Sandisk cards in Sony cameras (FS100/700 and EX1/3 with SDHC adaptors) is that Ultras will fail at the 4GB mark as they don't fall over fast enough to write the next 4GB file on a FAT32 file system but that Extremes work perfectly.

Ignore the Class and Speed ratings - for some reason, Sony's fall over kills the recording - buy what works, not what is advertised to work.

And as noted, Transcends work perfectly, although there is some anecdotal advice out there that they fail after a certain number of read/write cycles.

I've also been very happy with the way ADATA cards perform.

Thanks guys for your input and feedback. The manual says up 32GB and I thought since it did not work with the ScanDisk that it was going to be the same for all. I will go and grab some Transcend's cards.

Has anyone tried the 128GB Cards?

Has anyone tried the Eyefi in picture mode?

I've cycle through 2x 32Gb and 1x 16Gb Sandisk Extreme and never encountered an issue.

Hi Dave,

i think the issue with ScanDisk comes in when we try and use 64GB.

Good to know Aaron.

I was thinking about upgrading to bigger size card next year, but will put that on hold me thinks!

Thanks

Yeah, I think I will try the Transcend's Card and see if I get some good performance. Reading the above posts I think it may be a good option seeing that the EA only has one slot.

I want to know if anyone has tried the 128GB...
