ok i'm having some issues here, i have the dvx100a and i need to edit some stuff both 24p & 60i footage. I'm running on a PC, have been using premiere pro 1.5 since forever, but for some reason it dont like both of those on the same timeline. What am i to do? Wich other NLE supports both on the same timeline so i can intergrate the footage.
Thanx

ok i think i figured it out with the help of some previous posts

step 1 : open up a regualr timeline 29.97
step 2 : when your capture window is opened, go into settings, edit, general, playback settings, change the 24 pull method to repeat frame.
Now, up till now that ppl have mentioned that....i'm not the first.
step 3: capture your 24p footage
step 4: DO NOT RENDER YOUR FOOTAGE-because it will screw it right up
step 5: Re capture the UN-RENDERED footage back to tape.
step 6: capture back the same footage into the 60i timeline
step 7: capture regular 60i footage
step 8: apply any effects you want and thats it
Now,you can have intergrated 24p and 60i footage

Can someone else try this method and tell me if it worked for you

i just played it back on the telly and it looks good...no ghosting ...no strobing
just right.

That sounds mighty involved. Vegas will handle them both on the same timeline with no hoop jumping necessary....just mix em up and go...it automatically knows what footage is what.
