A while back I recall a thread showing several people's setup for mounting two cameras on a single tripod.

I'm sure Roger was one and someone else had one too.

I'm looking for a similar thing, although I'm actually looking to mount two 7" monitors rather than two cameras. The only commercial ones I can find are quire expensive £90+ for a bar that you still need to mount adapters to.

Anyone recommend anything?

Below is the item you might have already seen. I have one from when I ran M4/3 system cameras. It is a nice bar.

I had the central locknut break on me through over tightening on my part so I had an engineer make me one out of steel. It's cheaper and lighter than the arm linked and will easily support two monitors.

Why spend the time and energy trying to find an engineers shop that is prepared to do the work, when I can have one delivered the next day, cork faced, slotted and fitted with threaded mounting holes and attachment screws and nicely enamelled for £27. Do you really think you can get an engineering shop to get an apprentice to match that for less money? Let me know where, could be a new business venture :-)

That Hague one looks like a "fancy" version of the one I cobbled up for myself from some bar stock from the local big box hardware supply... I don't think I could have made it that cheap if I'd paid myself!
