Hi all,

I have just purchased an iPad/tablet teleprompter from Prompt-It (http://www.prompt-it.com.au).

Top notch quality - very happy with it... now I just need a tablet!

I was hoping to get some thoughts from others that use tablet-based teleprompters on what sized tablets work well. I'd like to buy a smaller 8" tablet like the iPad Mini to save a bit of money - but I'm uncertain if the smaller size would make the text difficult to read for the interviewee/presenter.

Any thoughts on this? Is a 10" tablet the only way to go, or does anyone here use something smaller?

Thanks in advance.

The text size can be adjusted. I use the ProPrompter Studio Apps on both an iPhone and iPad. The iPhone acts as the remote and the presenter can just hold the iPhone and scroll down at his/her pace.

I do use a full-size iPad but, as I said, you can make the text as large as you like (easy to adjust it in the app).

I am very familiar with tablet teleprompters and, in my opinion, you absolutely need the full sized. There's not a lot of text you can have displayed at once when you have a font large enough to see, and I think the full-sized iPad is the bare minimum you need to make it work properly with talent reading off of it.

Thanks Gary, that's exactly what I wanted to know.

I'd agree with Gary. While you *can* use an iPad mini, it's much more useable on the standard 8' model. I use it with Prompter People's prompter. Has worked great.
