First time trying to get a full 2 hours (and 10 minutes) to Blu ray. My NLE was looking for 29gb so I created a 1920 X1080 file which resulted in a 12 gb file but still would not fit. Tried sending to a folder and using Imgburn with no luck. Am I missing anything or is this how it works? I am scratching my head as to why I cant get a 12 gb file on a 25gb blu ray disc...

Thanks all

There are 50Mb BD's as welll. You might try that.

Not sure what program you use but I use Tmpgenc authoringworks and it automatically adjusts the bitrate so it always fits on a blu-ray disc, no matter how long the film is.

Sounds like the programme is seeing a DVD rather than a BD. Silly question but I assume your writer is definitely a BluRay writer?

I'm having similar problems with Corel DVD MovieFactory. I import a 13GB, 2 hour video which takes up over 30GB of the Blu Ray, which is too large.

I second that. I'm using TMPGEnc Video Mater Works and Authoring Works for all DVD & Bluray mastering
