I have a 2006 Mac Pro 2.66 dual core and I recently started experiencing what you see in the pics.....Has anyone experienced this? I spoke to someone at apple and they stated it may be the logic board or the power cord on the monitors. Any suggestions? Thanks

It might also be a failing graphics card?

My experience with graphic cards is that they usually are the first to fail in older computers, that component is stressed quite a lot troughout it's life cycle.

My 2006 Mac is doing the same thing. Graphics card for sure.

If your tech confident, pull the graphics card, use compressed air to blow out the card and the computer (don't hold it too close to the card) and re seat it.

You might also try gently lightly rubbing over the edge connector with a pencil eraser as this will remove any oxidation that may have developed over the course of tie.
