I'm looking for a monitoring solution(s) for on camera or "near" camera for the RX10 II/III with 4K output. I'd like something larger than the built in screen for critical focus and perhaps show zebra/peaking for over/under exposure... and be as inexpensive possible, of course!

I'm using 2 RX10 II's to shoot interviews in 4K and may upgrade one to the Mark III (just thinking about it.) One camera is static wide on host and interviewee. The main camera is under my control and on the interviewee. This is the one I'd like to monitor. Thoughts?

Try Sonys app and use a cell phone or tablet? There would be a slight lag most likely, and of course you'll be stuck with whatever resolution tablet you have, but you should be able to connect up to 5 cameras. You get only most basic functional control, but sounds like all you really are after is a bigger monitor?

I've played with the app with the action cam, and it actually is fairly effective, if you have a decent tablet, the app is the perfect price - FREE, and I think you'd at least get a little more than you have to pay for it!

Thanks, I'll look into that! Might be a good way to monitor the remote/unattended camera. I'm kind of looking for a dedicated monitor for the manned camera. Lag would be an issue.

I cruised around online, seeing if I could find a small monitor or TV set with good resolution, at about 7 or 8 inches in size. There are quite a few of them and some are rated well for picture quality. They were mostly in the $60. to $150. range. But not a one had anything but coaxial inputs and some not even that. It would seem that the industry does not want us to have an inexpensive solution to what we're discussing here.
