Got a great deal on a new Bresser 60mm F/2.8 Macrolens for MFT which was half price now for 183 euro (ex tax), I always have been putting of the purchase of a macro lens as it's a specialty lens that I most likely never will be using at weddings and probably only for personal projects, I only found the prices too high, but now this dirt cheap Bresser lens came along I couldn't resist.

The lens has a 2:1 magnification and I just shot a fly that was bothering me and I squashed it, then I thought that this might be a great test subject to see what the lens was capable off. :)

Just to give you an idea, I measured the flies head and it's less then 1mm. I shot in 4k on my jvc ls300 and edited in a 1080p project so I could zoom further in so the first image is without any additional zoom, the second zoom is by cropping into the image in post and the 3rd zoom it was a crop on the s35 sensor from 100% to 82% (mft) + a crop in post.

2:1 magnification is insane! I have 1:1 and have shot similar as photographs, but that looks much, much closer, and for the price, that's a brilliant bargain!

I have always wanted to do a, 'Bug's Life' video using my back garden. The problem I've found is that I can't find a tripod that is a decent video tripod that will go low enough... why do video tripods tend to not offer this, when photo tripods do?! It's frustrating! :)

Anyways... amazing what the LS300 can do when paired to it as well! Fascinating little video! Thanks for posting it!
