I've just purchased a Lumix GH5, a nice little camera. I've been shooting video at 4K 8bit 50p.

If I upload this to YouTube it shows there as 1080 50p.

4K 25p, footage from my GH4 uploads to YouTube as 4K 25p.

Is this because YT a bit behind the curve? "4K" (UHD) out a while before it would upload so?

You might need a browser that supports VP9 to view 4K 50p. I know for sure 4K 60p videos exist on YouTube.

1080p60 bandwidth is similar to the requirements for 4Kp30. Let that sink in.

Does youtube really need 4k as most people watch on smartphones, tablets or computers.

Another patronising and unhelpful comment from Mr.Huff.

I 'effin realise that bandwith might have something to do with it.

My one and only YT 4K 50p upload plays back, as said as 1080p50. Inferior image quality both as compared with the original and as compared with my 4K 25p uploads.
