Finally I was able to have a submission. Most of the footage was shot either in my backyard or the result of a short trip to the Texas coast and the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. I have been there many times but this is the largest number of alligators I have seen on one visit. Very impressive creatures. The nesting Great Blue Herons was quit a sight also.

Well done, LeRoy. So many 'gators, I thought I was in Florida for a minute. I had forgotten that we have our fair share of 'em here in Texas. Thanks for sharing!

Hi LeRoy,

Whoa! Look at those alligators! Must be amazing to see so many of them out in the wild!
So many colors, so many different birds and animals.
You have a good mix of wide and close up shots.

Your film really shows that less is more!
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed watching.

boy! - everyone choosing some really nice music, I really like the flow of the images and it seemed to fit together nicely.

The stabiisation on the bird feeder worked well but you might try to tweak the setting depending on what you're using - sometimes it just doesn't work for me and I'm better off slowing the clip down and using a smaller section

The alligators certainly are different, didn't expect ot see them. There was on point were you zoomed in on one and I wondered about a closeup shot of the grass in front of him panning right to his eye - that would have been a reveal!

I really liked your last title - natures paintbrush.. that really sums it up but I wonder if it would have had more impact if you left it till the scene at the end with the trees & the water.

LeRoy,

Lovely selection of clips to showing off natures colours at their best coupled with beautiful music makes this a mesmerizing entry, a real wind down film to watch. Well done.

As an aside, skimmers, what a bird, would love to have the opportunity to film them skimming the waters surface. Do you often get a chance to see them?

We see the skimmers most of the time when we go to the coast but I have not been able to get a good shot of them in action yet.

LeRoy, perfect! A perfect video. You had bright vivid colors, smooth shots. Perfect variety of wide, mid and close-ups. Loved the alligators, I often travel down to the Okeefenokee Swamp just to video gaters. Music was soothing and followed the pace of the clips. Interesting, I would have never thought of using sub-titles instead of narration. I think I will try that. Overall, I think you have a winner here!

Thanks for the kind words. I sort of had to choose subtitles instead of narration due to radiation therapy on my vocal cords which has played some tricks on my voice. It is getting better but not ready for prime time yet.

Hi LeRoy.
I like Your film very much.
I don't think I can contribute so much more than is already said.
You deliver a good movie, where editing and choice of music are well executed.
I think your choice of different clips and how you put them together is an example to follow.
Thank you for sharing.
