Hi everyone,
I shot some video at a local carnival just for fun. It was a dismal gray day. Mostly I cropped out the sky but it's hard to do that with say, a ferris wheel.
Clips edited together will be generally colorful and happy except for that dismal gray sky.
Any ideas for creative ways to mitigate that? Filters? Effects? Just putting it out there.
thx =)

Can you just enhance the gloom, dulling it down? Otherwise can you paradox it, bringing out the levels of the colors, yet deepening the darks? Higher contrast or levels setting. Premiere CC has numerours color corrections you can slide thru.

Also it would help if you posted a brief clip or thumbnail image as an example. Hard to target down any specific thoughts without a visual.

You know, in looking at it, I don't think there's much that can be done. Will roll with it. May not even edit it. It was just a practice shoot so it served its purpose. Thanks for the input. I'll re-shoot it on the next one.

You can do a sky replacement, but that’s VFX work, depends on if you want to fool around with trying it to learn the process.

That's an awesome idea. I'll keep that footage around for when it comes time to work with that.
