I just bought an FDR AX100.

The recording time counter can be displayed by cycling the display button. Problem is it only stays on screen for two seconds. Then the screen returns to the default display mode without the counter.

Is there a way to make it stay on screen indefinitely?

Do you have " Display settings" set to ON rather than auto under SETUP and then under the CAMERA/MIC folder have ""Camera data disp" set to ON. I have these on and counter stays running all the time while recording. Of course with these settings on it also shows all data in playback too.

Setting "display settings" to ON instead of auto does the trick!
The camera data display is already ON.
