Hi, Is there a V-lock battery plate available so I could use my original V-lock batteries to power the Sony Z280 ? :)

Thanks in advance.

Yes. It's V-Loc with two extra outputs and inbuilt 12 volt DC to DC converter to suit the Z280's 12 volt input requirement. It's the VLM-Z28 Sony Z280 Mini V-Lok Camera mount 2x D-Tap adapter.

Thanks Christopher, I wonder will it take full size vlock batteries?

Yes Anthony. The battery contacts block distance to the 'V' mounting wedge spacing is exactly the same on all brands of mini and large V Loc batteries. The batteries just sit higher on the mount, stick out the top more. I run a V Loc adapter on an old EX3 using the full size batteries as that camera still gets requested believe it or not. Just doesn't look as elegant as the smaller batteries on the smaller cameras.

I also use Hawk Woods V Loc power plates that offer Hirose sockets for powering wireless mics and other D Tap powered accessories. Use them on a PDW XDCam the EX3 and an FS7. Could be useful on the likes of the 280 if you need more power outputs. They sandwich between the battery plate and the battery. Solid products, well made and with good electronic designs internally.

Thanks so much Christopher, that's good to know, and the tip on the Hawk-Woods V Loc power plate too.

Thank you.
