Hello, I'm Jimmy Bustos, glad to join this very cool Forum.
I'm originally from a little town in Chile, SA. I lived in Edmonton for about 22 years. I'm a processional video editor in a small postproduction company, but my favorite thing is to do my own little projects, docs, shorts anything to do with the more creative side of this industry.

Take care

Jimmy Bustos

Hey, good to see someone else from Edmonton.
I got a DVX 100 AP and I'm currently working on a documentary and a movie I shot in the last little while.
If you want to chat just email me.

Bye
Jimmy

Hi Dan & Dave,

I always wondered if there were any Albertans on this site. We should get together some time and chat (I have an XL1s and use Vegas). I am occasionally in the Edmonton area. Sorry, I'm a Flames fan!

Hi, everyone,

I'm a retired TV ENG cameraman who has just bought an XL-2. I worked for
25 years shooting news and sports, and for the last five years of my career
I operated a microwave truck, doing live hits into our newscasts. I also shot
video (Betacam) for those last five years. I began my career shooting 16mm
sound-on-film and I would guess that before I made the move to video tape
I must have shot around 100 thousand miles of film. I worked those 25 years
all for the same station.

As I try to learn the intricasies of the XL-2 and other digital video techniques
I'm enjoying this site immensely.

BTW, I bought the XL-2 just for fun as I never would have been happy with
a consumer-grade video camera. Zebra stripes and time-code are key features
that I simply had to have.
