HI GUYS, MY NAME IS SAL, I WANT TO SHOW YOU THE MUSIC VIDEO I DID FOR FREE FOR MY BROTHER'S BAND. IT WAS DONE WITH MY OLD AG-DVC200 FULL SIZE DV CAM (I sold it 4 months ago, and now i want something lighter like the GS-400) We edited on Media 100 with adobe afther efects.. I got inspired watching the trailer of SIN CITY!!! Lots of action and blood. Got a lot of heat from the networks because they thought it was too violent for a love song. It's in spanish though....so, hope everybody at least have fun with the visuals.

Although I see the ref' to Sin City (comic panels), it felt a whole lot more like El Mariachi. Nicely done integration of the live action and After Effects stuff. Good job!

That was a really awesome music video! I loved everything about it! Your skills are too good for a gs400(now the slightly worse 500) you should get an fx1 and downconvert, your work looks great and this would make it look even better!

Other than the comic panels this much more reminded me of el mariachi and desparado but hey it's all rodriguez work right?

Sal,

That video is fantastic all around. Great job.

Questions:

1. Did you have the comic-book stuff story boarded before you shot? Or did you shoot and just select the good frames to treat that way?

2. How many days of shooting did you do?

3. How much time in post did you spend?

Keep it up, and show us more when you can.

I saw this a couple weeks ago and forgot to say it was awesome! I mean what you did with a little camera is amazing. Also shows your skills within prepro and post - nice work!
