Digital overcranking from 60i/50i to 24p or 25p at post, it works but it isn't the same like a native overcranking from a camera system like Panasonic's HVX-200 or the Sony's PDW-F350, right?
I ask: how far it is? Is it possible to get good slowmotion at post? Similar as at the traditional way imported from the film cameras? Or the results will never be the same and at post it will be always noticeable worst?

you want to take your 60i and have it play back with a frame rate of 24fps ?
if YES .. use after effects ... convert the 60i to 60p ( every field becames a frame) .. then render 23.976 layer using time stretch ( so clip plays back 24fps = takes approx 2 1/2 sec toplay back that 60i )

Is there other solutions? Better ones or After Effects is the best option?
Is it possible to compare to the same results from the Panasonic's HVX-200 or from the Sony's PDW-F350?

shooting slo motion will always be better then "creating" it ...
AE will do it .. maybe combustion , probably other special effects programs too ... BUT the problem is 50i interlace would change to 50p = each field is changed to a frame = there's only 1/2 the info there to begin with and it isn't going to equal a progressive frame shot on any progressive camera.
there's Twixter that can create NEW frames

Thank you Don!
BUT the problem is 50i interlace would change to 50p = each field is changed to a frame = there's only 1/2 the info there to begin with50% of losses?
and it isn't going to equal a progressive frame shot on any progressive camera.I figure out but this simulation after 60i/50i -> 60p/50p -> 25p or 24p is it so noticeable to an average audience, comparatively speaking?
there's Twixter that can create NEW framesWhat does it mean -- NEW frames? Will it be a better or the best method?

Hi
so what is the best method for making az 50i HDV video to 24p HD?
I think 50i - >deinterlace with good quality method to 25p,
and then simple playback the 25p footage at 24Hz.
I cannot to all this in Vegas, what should i use it?
AE? Or maybe some avisynth script can also do the job?
The most imprtant thing is do this process without any interpolation
between frames! I want the real 25 frames, just play at 24.
(i need this to make a 3DBluray from my 50i source, and that standard is only 24p now)
thanks!

JES Deinterlacer will do this job for you, with the understanding that you will drop resolution.
Load the 50i/60i footage and choose a change speed preset.
