Looks like both adapters use similar technology, could anyone compare quality?

Thank you.

Hello there,

Price aside, the biggest difference between the SG35 and the m2 is that the SG35 uses a condenser lens to avoid vignetting. I have heard some complaints that the m2 vignettes, not sure how true this is as I have never used an m2.

I have had my new M2 adapter for a week now, it is very nice. I will be able to compare it to my SG35, as soon as I get it back from Wayne ;-)

So i'll keep you posted on the outcome.

Neill

Neill,
I have now finished updating your unit to the new support system. Will be interesting to see a comparision to the m2.

I can't wait to try it. I have a firend who owns an m2, so we'll compare notes.

I personally would go for a SG35. As you said they look very similar but the SG35 is much cheaper and you actually seem to get it in the promised time instead of having to dump your money and be promised an adapter in 6 weeks, but actually end up having to wait 12-13 weeks till you get one like it's the case with the M2. The bad things is that their boards are full of people complaining they don't even get a reply explaining why the delay.
So just go with the SG35 and be happy already.

turnaround times on the m2 have dramatically improved. i placed my order on Jan 1, and will have mine delivered on tuesday, a production turnaround of 4-5 weeks.

Well, at last. Good to hear that. It was about time they got they act together.

Yeah it would be so nice if someone could make a comparison... I don't even care for res charts anymore. ;-)

M2 vs. G35 vs. SG35 vs. Letus35 :-))

I'm just gonna give this a little bump so people are reminded. I can't wait for a shootout of some sort.
